Strange Finds

I came across this online and I thought it was cool but really strange!

This company makes "stick on" eyeshadows. They come in a variety of colours and you kinda "paste" it onto your eyelids. I've never actually seen one but I really wonder how it'd be like.

Face Primers

Hey guys

So because our weather is so humid, it's sometimes good to use a primer under your foundation to help keep it intact for a longer time. I don't really like using primers all the time because it just adds another layer on your skin but for those of you who feel you need it, these are a few good ones you can check out.

Always let your skin care (toner & moisturizer) set into your skin before you apply your makeup. So give yourself about 5 minutes after you've moisturized before makeup application. The golden rule is to use only ONE product beneath your foundation. So in this case, it would be your primer. Foundation needs to disappear into the skin, not sit on top.

This looks kinda scary in the bottle because it's white. But the trick is to use just a little bit and blend it out well into your skin. I only use this on my cheeks because I have pretty oily skin. I avoid the forehead, nose and chin. It works out well because you want your cheeks to be glowy, kinda like a highlighted look. And I use this just with my fingers.

The only problem with this is that it has no pump. It comes with a little spatula thingy but that's quite annoying and I don't like re-dipping it even thought I've already washed it. So please Chanel, come up with a pump? Or put it into a squeeze tube thingy cause that way we can use just a little bit of product at a time.

This was recommended to me by my friend Cassandra who works with the RMK brand. And I love it! You only use it in targeted areas, not on the whole face. So you use it where you have open pores like around your nose or on your cheeks. Blend it in with your fingers and the apply your foundation on top of it. It acts like a seal for your foundation and the natural ingredients work to close up your pores.

Yes, I know there's concern that it's going to block your pores and create more oil, but it works fine for me and I only use it on special occasions where I want my foundation looking fresh the whole time. I won't recommend to use this everyday. Make sure you remove your makeup well with a makeup wipe and cleanse thoroughly.
The one in the white tube is oil free but has no spf. The one in the black tube is more for dry skin and has an spf 20. I use the primer in the black tube kinda like a sun block on days when I'm just going out for a little while for lunch or something. I use the primer as a base and then use a powder over it. It does make your skin look pretty shiny though, so if you've got oily skin like me, go with the white tube. It holds your makeup in place and hydrates your skin.

Ok so those are the 3 that I have.

A ridiculously priced one I want is the Guerlain L'or Radiance Concentrate with Pure Gold Make-up Base. But I think that will have to wait till I get a couple more pay checks. I mean look at it, how could anyone not want it.

You can get all the products at the respective counters and all except the RMK and NARS products at Sephora in Singapore. RMK is at Takashimaya, Nexx and Isetan Scotts. NARS you have to get online.  Till the next post. Ta!
