Cleansing Oils

Hey guys!

I've recently discovered the power of oil cleansers. I have combination/oily skin so I always tried to stay far away from oil cleaners cause I thought they were going to break me out and make my skin really uncomfortable. Then I was encouraged to try and oil cleanser by my friend who uses the RMK cleansing oil and I fell absolutely in love.

When I use a normal makeup remover with cotton pads, I found that no matter how gentle I was, I still pull out an eyelash or so everytime I remove my makeup. I had never tried cream cleansers as well. With this oil cleanser, I just use a small amount (2 to 3 pumps) on my fingers, close my eyes, and rub it all over my eyes to remove the makeup. Just be careful not to be too rough or the product may go into your eyes. Then I use a makeup wipe, I've been using the Neutrogena cleansing wipes, and wipe everything off. If there's still makeup left on my eyes, I'll repeat the process and by the second time, all my makeup is usually off. You can also add water to your face in replacement of the makeup wipes, the product will emulsify and then you can just wash it off.

I tried the Origins cleansing oil which is cheaper than the RMK one, but it did not work as well. I still had makeup residue left that the oil just could not remove. I'm going to try the Shu Uemura Cleansing Oil's because they have a range of about 6 different cleansing oils to cater to different needs and different skin types. So go ask for samples and try them out! They're a fantastic alternative to normal makeup removers for all skin types.

Love, Tasha
