Makeup in HD!

So I know this stuff has been around for awhile but I just bought it about a week ago and wanted to let you guys know my thoughts. I know everyone loves this stuff!

I think this is a great foundation, the product is great and you can tell that the quality is fantastic. I bought it for $75 at Sephora in Ngee Ann City and I'm in the colour 123 (i'm an NC30 for MAC). I love it when it's just put on. I apply it with a MAC 109 and I buff it in after with a kabuki brush. It leaves such a nice natural finish and it's very pigmented so you don't need to use that much. It makes me feel like I'm not wearing foundation and through the day it gets dewy (not overly dewy like the Laura Mercier Mineral Powder). My only problem with this is that it's not very long lasting. It lasted me a good work day but I went out one night with it and it did not look good when I came back after dinner. To be safe, I'd say it'd look good for 8 to 9 hours but after that it wears off pretty fast unlike some foundations like my Nars Sheer Matte and Chanel Mat Lumiere that kinda survive even after dinner.

But overall, I think this is a really good foundation because the quality is fantastic. If you're going out just for leisure or you're going out for a nice dinner this would do you very well!

Healing Cream

 

I recently bought the Mario Badescu Healing Cream. I used to use the Clinique Acne Solutions Spot Clening Gel but it seems to just not work much anymore, I don't know why. And I don't like that cause when I use any foundation or tinted moisturizer on top of it, I can see the product beneath. It leaves a white patch that's really ugly and doesn't go away.

The healing cream is $50 from Sephora. And I use it on my back as well as I tend to get red spots and break out there because of the heat. I don't use it on my whole face as it's a bit rich, just on targeted areas like a pimple cream and within a day, or two days at the most, the pimples and redness go completely away. I'd suggest getting a sample first and trying it though cause everyone's skin is different. Because the product is in a jar, I suggest using a cutip to get the product out. Don't redip your fingers into the product after you've put in on your face as you may contaminate the cream.

This has become a staple part of my skin care and it's really reallllyyy great! Beats any other pimple cream or acne cream or any of those things that I've tired!

Clarisonic!

Hey guys!

So I BOUGHT A CLARISONIC! I bought it at the beginning of the month but I wanted to use it for at least 2 weeks before I review it. It's been about two weeks and guys, this thing is AMAZING.

I bought mine from Sephora for SGD$370. They only carry one version of it which is the Clarisonic Plus. It comes with a sensitive brush for your face, a body brush, trial sizes of the Refreshing Gel Cleanser, Gentle Hydro Cleanser and Nourishing Care Cleanser and a trial size of the Refining Skin Polish. If you buy it from Clarisonic.com, you'll also get a travel bag and body serum with it.  

 It is a pricey product and to be honest, I contemplated for months before getting it cause it's so expensive. But now that I've been using it, I notice such a difference in my skin. I use a lot of foundation and although I do clean off all my make up, I still feel like my skin isn't clean and that there is a lot of build up. The Clarisonic really cleanses everything out of your pores and leaves your skin much smoother and clearer. I used to have these bumps on my face from product build up and I used to get these small white spots all over my forehead. I don't have them anymore at all!

I use a powder cleanser so I'll wash my face with the cleanser for about 10 seconds or so, then I'll put a bit of the powder onto the Clarisonic itself and use it for the next 1 minute. It goes 20s on your forehead, 20s on your nose and chin and 10s on each cheek. It's also made my skin less oily. Because my pores are all cleaned out, they produce less oil and I find my skin staying fresh for longer. Trust me guys, 10 days and you'll see a stark difference. I can't live without it at all now.

My skin feels very rejuvenated and I feel like my skin care now works better because my pores are cleaned out and the product can really penetrate my face. It's gentle enough to use twice a day but just to be careful, I use it on the lowest setting. The body brush also works great. It goes on for 3 minutes and you can just use it like you're using a loofah, only that it's working 10 times better.

The Clarisonic is fully waterproof so don't worry. Yeah so, I know it's really expensive, but if you ever feel like treating yourselves to a little something special, get this. You won't regret it!
